Sugar, Spice & Everything Nice

How. Cute. Are. They!?  Alright, normally I'm not a sucker for pink and all things uber-girlie. Maybe that's because I don't have little girls of my own yet, I'm not sure.  (Read Kari Gienger's thoughts on how having two girls makes the colour pink virtually un-avoidable). Anyway, these two lovely girls, (daughters of friends of ours in Mississippi) this fabulous pink chair, and loads of shoes became the subject of a spontaneous photo shoot last month.  The eldest is apparently camera-shy and doesn't like to smile much when a lens is pointed her way (let's face it, a lot of adults aren't much better!) so I suggested using her shoes, which she's OBSESSED WITH, as a prop to draw out some natural smiles.  Well we were in for a treat because this blue-eyed gem got practically giddy at the idea!  Their youngest was just as sweet as ever and as expressive as her older sister.  Visit this slideshow on my website for more shots.  And if you're in the market for a fantastic photo shoot with or featuring your kids, just let me know!!!

Another Fabulous Trash The Dress

Christy & I were great friends in high school, lost touch for a number of years after (as many do after graduation) and reconnected through Facebook a couple of years ago. Since then a number of us girlfriends have gotten together to reconnect, but this time I got to see Christy in a whole new light! Chris & her new husband Evan wrapped up an extended honeymoon with a Trash The Dress session in Vernon last week. Click here to catch a sneak peek at a few more shots from their shoot!

A Nebraska Wedding

All right, so I've been gone from the photo front for a while...at least as far as blogging is concerned.  I had a busy spring with shooting and then my own wedding a few weeks ago.  Photos from the last month will surface soon, but first a few shots from a wedding I shot yesterday in Lincoln, Nebraska for my second cousin (Joe, from Manitoba, who married Sarah from Nebraska).  I thought I'd get a few photos of the newlyweds up for family & friends, so here for everyone's enjoyment are Joe & Sarah!!!

PS  Thanks to all the Manitoba & Nebraska folks for making my new husband and I feel warmly welcomed here in Lincoln!!!

Saturday Morning Shoot...

This last shoot was absolutely fabulous!  You may have already seen the Bicknell Family's Maternity shoot that I featured a few weeks ago and it was only a short time after that their little girl was welcomed into the world.  It was quite a privilege being invited over to photograph the family first thing Saturday morning, with everyone still in their pj's!  I'm in love with these photos and hope every one of the Bicknell's friends and family members fall in love with them too!

Mother/Nature

Spring is here and it seems like folks are having babies as if they're goin' outta style!  Or maybe it's just that a lot of people of my accquaintance happen to be both married and in the 25-35 age bracket.  Either way, I've been having a lot of fun with parents-to-be.

Kevin & Adrienne were one such couple, and if you think they look familiar it's because last year I photographed their wedding out at O'Keefe Ranch exactly one year ago.

On the week of their first wedding anniversary we headed out to Kal Park for a photo shoot featuring Kevin, Adrienne, and their new little one just waiting to make his or her big debut!  Thanks so much you guys for a great photo reunion!
